25th AFI European Union Film Showcase
From November 9-20, 2012, the annual AFI-EU Film Showcase celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a two-week festival of special events featuring filmmakers, film premieres, European happy hours, and Opening Night, Centerpiece, and Closing Night parties.
The signature fall cultural event for Washington, DC movie lovers and the area’s embassy community presented a wide array of feature films from the 27 member countries of the European Union. The showcase also featured Austrian productions: the SciFi Drama The Wall (Die Wand) by Julie Poelsner, Paradise: Love (Paradies: Liebe) and Paradise: Faith (Paradies: Glaube) by Ulrich Seidl.
