Interdisciplinary Vienna Institute on Mozart for U.S. Teachers
Under sponsorship of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), Dr. Richard Benedum, professor emeritus of music at the University of Dayton (Ohio), will direct an interdisciplinary institute on Mozart for American teachers in Vienna from June 21 – July 16, 2010.
Some twenty-five teachers will be chosen nationally and will receive a stipend from the NEH for participation. Faculty will include, among others, Dr. Thomas Froeschl (History, University of Vienna) and Dr. Rudolf Hopfner, director of the collection of historical instruments in the Hofburg, as well as distinguished scholars from America.
