Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck has been a culinary institution in America for many years now. Annually he caters numerous celebrities at the Academy Awards Governors Ball in Los Angeles. This time however it was Wolfgang’s turn to receive an award honoring his lifetime achievements.  The James Beard Foundation invited to the so-called Oscars of the food world on May 7, 2012, in New York City.

On April 29, 2012, Austrian Ambassador Dr. Hans Peter Manz awarded Mr. Josef Neuhofer, president of Plasser American, the Decoration of Honor in Gold for Achievements for the Republic of Austria during a dinner in Virginia Beach, VA.

On Friday, June 1, Austrian certified Global Master Chef Wilhelm Jonach was awarded the ‘Decoration of Honor in Gold for Services to the Republic of Austria’.

More than 200 enthusiastic guests joined us for our Eurovision Song Contest Party on May 26. The event was broadcasted live from Baku via satellite and shown on a big screen in the atrium of the Embassy.
