Transcending Borders: The Intersections of Arts, Science, Technology, and Society on a Global Stage.

 It has become increasingly evident that artists, scientists, and technologists alike are eager to explore the creative possibilities that emerge from the convergences of their three fields describing them as "inter-disciplinary", "trans-disciplinary", or even "anti-disciplinary".

In light of this trend, the Embassy of Austria in Washington, D.C., the Salzburg Global Seminar, and the National Endowment for the Arts,  hosted the panel discussion: Transcending Borders: The Intersections of Arts, Science, Technology, and Society on a Global Stage.

Speakers included Joan Shigekawa - Senior Deputy, National Endowment for the Arts, Washington, DC; Stephen Salyer - President and CEO, Salzburg Global Seminar  and Liz Lerman - Choreographer, MacArthur Fellow, Baltimore, Maryland
