18th Berlin & Beyond Film Festival in San Francisco

Between January 15 and 21, 2014, the 18th Berlin & Beyond Film Festival took place at the legendary Castro Theater and the Goethe-Institut in San Francisco. The annual festival features recent film productions from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since its inauguration in 1996, the festival has presented over 500 motion pictures from German-speaking countries. Austria’s contribution this year included the dramas "Your Beauty is Worth Nothing” by Hüseyin Tabak and “The Shine of Day” by Tizza Covi and Rainer Frimmel. The Austrian Cinema Special was presented in cooperation with the Austrian Consulate General in Los Angeles.
